Song Contest Winners
THE FOLLOWING ARTISTS HAVE BEEN SELECTED TO HAVE THEIR SONGS INCLUDED IN ‘TOLPUDDLE! THE MUSICAL’
Robin Brown
is a Nashville, TN based singer/songwriter. Writing poems, songs, short stories and more since childhood, she considers writing a blessing and an integral part of who she is as a person, never an occupation or choice. She has performed since grade school and has been grateful to sing on some amazing stages over her musical career. She moved to the Nashville area in 2000 to be closer to the songwriting scene. Robin enjoys writing in all styles and genres. She considers herself extremely fortunate to be a part of the Tolpuddle production and is excited to see and hear the final musical.
Bruce Ede
is a singer-songwriter whose songs have been featured in film and TV. He has also released two CDs of original material in the past few years: 40 Ft. Technicolor Dream & 12 Short Stories. Bruce has been a member of West Coast Songwriters for decades and served on the Board of Directors since 2006, currently as Board President.
Sam Diedrich
was born in Bloomington, Indiana, but has lived most of his life in central Massachusetts. He has been playing piano since the age of six, and singing since the age of thirteen, with a passion for styles including pop, rock, folk, jazz and blues. He has released two albums of original music as part of the Bennington, VT-based retro-rock band Aviation. While attending Bennington College, Sam was the music director for several musical theatre productions, including a staged reading of She Loves Me, and TIMBR, an original folk-rock musical which features Sam’s compositions. Sam graduated from Bennington in 2019 with a BA in Music.
Jack Lewis
is a British singer-songwriter currently living in Melbourne, Australia. After friends remarked that his songs often have a musical-theatre character to them, the Tolpuddle competition could not be resisted. Jack has a family history in amateur youth musical theatre, and his appreciation of Les Miserables and Jesus Christ Superstar can be heard in his submission.
